Together, we will make preparations to cross the threshold, entering the dreaming time from Winter Solstice to Imbolc: we will gather the year’s harvest into your basket ~ dreams, memories, successes and authentic failures. We will let go of and compost that which we have outgrown from the past year, so that which came before may nourish the seeds of the new life, the new year to be sprouted when the light returns at the beginning of February. And we will plant the seeds in the fertile dark as we let our dreams dance us and reveal their messages, their magic and their medicine.

Our practices include:

- Dance and movement journeys to awaken the dancer in yourself

- Reconnection to your body, emotions and embodied spirit

- Exploring Movement Medicine Mesa Practice of relational intimacy with Self, others and the world

- Activating your Yin, your Yang and your Yun Qualities within your dance

- Deepening into your dreams as guides

- Embodying dream figures to cultivate resources and heal

- Exploring dream through the lenses of voice, movement and sacred conversation with the wild Others

- Deep imagery journeys

- Wanders on the land to enact the dream

What you will receive:

- Emotional and physical cultivation of your resources

- A deeper connection with soul and spirit

- A coherent felt-sense of your year and the seeds you are carrying into the dark of winter

- Practices for how to remember and work with your dreams

- Embodied practices for visioning and manifesting your intention

- Practices for awakening the Inner Dancer, your embodied visionary

The Rhythm of Our Days

Friday evening we will gather in a larger community dance to embody our dreams and visions from the year past, gathering threads of experience. Saturday, we will deepen in to dream work and dance, spend time out on the land alone and in the yurt in community time. Sunday we will gather up the bundle and carry the seeds of the new year into the winter dreaming through dream work, dance and council practice.

Timetable:
Friday 7pm – 9pm open for everyone
Saturday 9am – 9pm and Sunday 9am – 1pm for workshop participants

Food:

Bring your own lunches and breakfasts.  We will be sharing a potluck meal on Saturday night. Coffee and tea will be provided all weekend long. There is a refrigerator for your use and an outdoor stove. Please bring easy to put together or heat foods (premade might be best) as we will not have time for extensive prep and cooking. Spirit Hollow does not have a microwave.

Lodging for Weekend

Lodging: Spirit Hollow is a rustic retreat.  Your options for lodging are sleeping in one of our two yurts. Lodging in our yurts is slumber party style, so you’ll need to bring all of your bedding. These are shared spaces, so if you need more privacy, we suggest you book a room nearby).

The Brook Yurt has electricity and six cots, and it is heated by a woodstove (bring an insulated pad for on top of the cot).  The Mountain Yurt is heated by a woodstove, but there still is no electricity (but eco-oil lamps are there).  If you stay up there, you’ll need to bring all of your bedding and push it off to the side in the mornings. There are no showers available. We have four outhouses for your use. There is no additional cost for staying in our yurts.

There are plenty of inns and Airbnbs for staying in the area.  A few suggested places are here:

We recommend all of the following hotels/motels/inns, all within 20 minutes of Spirit Hollow:

Katja Wehe

Artist, Dance Therapist, Movement Medicine teacher

Katja lived for 7 years in a garden in the part of Germany known as the Rhön, in deep communication with the plants. There, she learned how the Earth speaks to humans through their hands and feet and heart, how Nature is deeply connected with our human souls and how much we need her. The call to community with people called her back from the wild places into the cities. There, she learned to be a bridge for those who long to leave the city and return to their deepest selves through contact with Fire, Earth, Water and Air. Katja brings her particular and deeply soulful way of perception into her paintings, her co-creation with the Earth in the form of gardens and in how she guides seminars. Her way of guiding is rooted in her trust in the original creativity of Life. The energy that arises through playful spontaneous creativity, allows every one to return to the connection with their deepest and wildest imagination and experience how magical and beautiful every one of us is. When Katja is in contact with Earth through her hands and feet, she is connected to her Muse and can access the soul power of her visionary way of seeing and being. This she brings as a gift into every moment with her.
