January 2025 News!

This morning, while my family sleeps in and I drink coffee by the wood stove with snoring dogs draped on the couches like shawls, I feel moved to share some of what has been unfolding at Spirit Hollow in this last year.

Grab a cup of something warm, cozy up, and read on!

While the world grows more chaotic with the overculture unraveling at the seams, I am always struck by how the little brook that embraces this place consistently sings while it tumbles down the mountain. How the song birds still gather in cheerful community at the feeders. How every evening the mountains bid us goodnight in the Golden Hour, illuminated by the firey light of the setting sun. How life hums along in the wild world despite the horrors in the human world.

Unbelievably, I have lived here for over 25 years, and I have never lost my reverence for that golden light or those friendly waters, never not awakened with deep gratitude for the privilege of dwelling here and stewarding this land, for quiet, solid stillness of the trees, for the breathing of the forest, for my ever-deepening roots.

After all these years, I remain an apprentice here to the other-than-humans whom I live among, listening, low to the ground, listening to what Earth is dreaming through this place, through my embodied soul.

As I grow older, I am leaning into a slower way of being. I used to run around constantly as a single mom, driving all over the place, juggling a few jobs, while being as present and available to my children as I could be, all while running Spirit Hollow.

Now that my young adult kids are pretty much grown and flown, I can create my days, my flow, my life. I am now in my Matriarch years, turning my energy and attention to serving the world and the future ones with my whole being.

My deepest desires now are to spend my time in the forest singing, with plant folk in the gardens, on the mountain wandering, in the warmth of loving my partner, Robbie, or in circle with other deeply soulful humans, in ceremony, supporting and guiding one another to flower.

I am on the verge of graduating from the multi-year Soulcraft Apprenticeship and Initiation program with Bill Plotkin of the Animas Valley Institute--where I have been training to be a Soul Initiation guide for most of the last decade. It the most potent work and set of practices I have ever encountered, and it has transformed every aspect of my life, my guiding, my work of service to the Earth Community.

I offer myself to the the world, to these very times, to guiding humans back to wild Soul, to the co-creation of healthy, eco-centric culture and living ‘as if’ we are already there, even if we are only placing bricks in the bridge between this dying culture and the life-giving one that is yet to fully arrive.

All of our offerings at Spirit Hollow are in support of that vision.

Thank you for being a part of Spirit Hollow over these years. I wish you all the support and abundance and love possible in 2025.

We have a year of many gorgeous offerings coming up -- check out this e-newsletter to learn about them.

I hope to see you here in the forest!

With Wild Love--

Tracey (KeyTurner)
